Tacit Act EP

Review
by Muse en Lystrala

A breath of fresh air from the electropop genre, Tacit Act's first EP combines clever keyboard riffs, well-chosen beats, and vocals.

Consisting of Marshall Camden and Jdvayd Williams (who accompanies Tacit Act on the stage), the duo combine keys, vocals, and computer-synthesized sound to create a unique approach to electropop. Jdavyd contributes live synths and programming for Tacit Act, while Marshall's province is keys and vocals. Both musicians formerly played for now-defunct band In Tenebris – Marshall on keys, Jdvavyd on guitar and programming.

Marshall's voice carries a curiously childlike quality to it, like a chorus boy called on for a solo. An almost casual tone carries the vocals on Tacit Act's EP, and yet conveys simplistic sincerity in its thought-provoking lyrics.

The Tacit Act EP is good traveling music. It's involved, vivid, and lively; the sort of music that sticks in your head after only one or two listens.

The EP is available for digital download on Amazon.com. Tacit Act can be found online at www.myspace.com/tacitact, and www.tacitact.com.
