Apocalyptica
Town Ballroom, Buffalo, NY

Live Review by Muse en Lystrala
Apocalyptica, the well-known Finnish cellorock band, is taking the United States by storm – finally – during their 2010 World Tour in support of 7th Sympony.
Consisting of cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, Perttu Kivilaakso, and drummer Mikko Sirén, the band played to a crowd of easily a thousand people on Saturday night in the Town Ballroom of Buffalo. Their performance was energetic, engaging, and enthralling – they played the gamut from old Metallical covers such as “Master of Puppets,” as well as original material from Worlds Collide (“I'm Not Jesus,” “I Don't Care”) and 7th Symphony (“Beautiful” and “Sacra”). Ranging from rock to pure classical, there was something for everyone present.
Apocalyptica's new album, 7th Symphony, is preceded by the success of Worlds Collide both in the United States and abroad, and Apocalyptica has been playing packed and sold-out shows since the beginning of their North American tour last month. 7th Symphony will be released in late August. The tour will range across the North America and Europe for the next few months. To find a tour date in your area, visit http://www.apocalyptica.com/us/events.
With amazing energy, incredible skill, and a true appreciation for their fans, Apocalyptica's live shows are not something to miss.
